ABOUT THE EVENT
Ward Creative Studios’ Black Women Empowerment: The Hamptons is the highly anticipated signature evening event. This 2nd annual event was designed to uplift, highlight, honor, connect, and create a safe space for Black women across cultures, sectors, and generations in Iowa. It amplifies the unique experiences of Black woman through relationships, entrepreneurship, development, health and well-being, and leadership. If you're a local Black woman who is 21+, you belong here - and we can't wait to celebrate YOU! Last year was a sold out event.
THE EXPERIENCE
Venue
Hosted at the beautiful Mainframe Studios (The Big Room). This isn't your typical evening setup. Everyone will feel like they're in VIP. Use the entire space to mingle, as sofa furniture pieces and cocktail tables allow you to move and connect. See a sample image below.
Entertainment
Coming from Cedar Rapids, we'll have the amazing powerhouse, Alicia Monee, join us live with her band - with all the R&B and Soul vibes for the evening.
Food & Beverages
We're excited to have in-house catering - Chicken Sliders, Portabella Mushroom Sliders, Grilled Skewers, Crab Cakes, Green Goddess Flatbread, and desserts. Select your dietary needs when registering and we gotchu. Bar services provided by the venue.

Yes. Those who register must be 21+ to attend.
What is Hamptons attire?

When can I register?
Registration will be open May 18 at 6 pm through August 4 at 11:59 pm, or until all tickets have been sold. Tickets are not sold at the door.
Where can I park?
Mainframe Studios has free and accessible parking just outside of the venue. This includes elevators and ramp access to the building.

These ladies are passionate about empowering our community and creating spaces for celebration. They understand the assignment of being welcoming in spaces where we are; they're connected in the community; fill in gaps of knowledge and expertise; know how to have a good time; get thangs done; and are able to genuinely bring diverse Black women into this space.
